Leaf Mother & Childcare
Leaf Africa is here to support parents as well as health facilities with the main focus on lactation. Breastfeeding is supposed to be a natural process and often it will go without any issue.
But there are also many reasons why this process might be disrupted and that’s where Leaf comes in, identifying breastfeeding challenges and finding a customized solution for each baby and mother.
Leaf is working under the lead of IBCLC lactation consultants and part of our mission is also to build capacity for our profession in Ghana and across borders in SubSaharan Africa.
In 2019 whilst being a participant of the UNICEF Startup Lab Ghana, the ideas for Leaf Africa started to grow, and along the line, the decision was made to continue as an NGO in Ghana on its own.
