GOLD Learning Education News

We’re getting ready for GOLD Perinatal online conference 2019 and we can’t wait to share this fantastic event with you! This year’s conference is packed with expert speakers from the field of perinatal health, and their presentations are brimming with practice-changing information.

Early Bird registration opens on August 1, so don’t miss out on the savings! Discounts are also available for groups and students.

This year’s conference will take place from October 1 to December 2, 2019. Our unique online format brings you live presentations as well as recordings, helping you fit learning into your busy schedule. Join the fun on live days, learn at your own pace with recordings, and re-watch presentations as many times as you like throughout the conference period.

We’ll kick things off on October 1 with our Opening Keynote Speaker Sarah Buckley, M.B, Ch.B; Dip Obst. Dr. Buckley has been a writer and speaker in the field since 1997, and she has a special interest in the hormonal physiology of labour and birth. Her presentation “Induction of Labor: Hormonal Costs and Consequences for Mothers and Babies” will us give insight into the bigger picture of induction. Attendees will learn how hormonal physiology is impacted and what long-term effects we might see in these dyads.

This webinar is free to the public, so invite your friends and colleagues to reserve their free seat here: https://www.goldperinatal.com/conference/speakers/keynote-presentations-speakers

The main conference includes 15.5 hours of accredited education focused on improving care for families in the perinatal period. During this time of transformation, the care families receive is critical and sets a foundation for health and well-being. Join us with these expert speakers for info-packed presentations rich with transferable knowledge and practice-changing skills. You’ll learn about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, informed consent in maternity care, preventing urinary incontinence, physiological childbirth, and much more.

In addition to the main conference, delegates have the opportunity to extend their learning experience with three add-on lecture packs. These lecture packs are available exclusively to conference delegates and take a focused look at a key area in perinatal health. Brand new at this year’s conference is the Labour Support Skills lecture pack with 5 presentations to improve your care during labour and delivery. The Essential Lactation Skills and the Tools of the Lactation Trade lecture packs are also available to take your care to the next level.

On October 28, our Closing Keynote Speaker Adriana Lozada, AdvCD(DONA), CSC, CEMC, CBP will present “Destination Laborland: Setting a Fresh Course Towards Physiological Birth”. Adriana brings her multi-layered and multi-cultural background into her work, and she is inspired by her passion for birth advocacy. Her lecture offers us an opportunity to explore a new model of birth that supports parents in using new tools and looking inwards during the birth process.

This webinar is also free to the public. Reserving a seat gives access to the live event as well as to the recording: https://www.goldperinatal.com/conference/speakers/closing-keynote-presentation
