Medicine and Midwifery hospital based practice regarding: consultation,
administrative support, hospital transfer of care, midwifery hospital
based continuation of care, and postnatal support. A system of real
tangible support for Home Birth midwives and their patients
Learning Objectives:
Objective 1: Participants will be able to discuss the collaboration between Hospital, CPM-CNM, and “back-up” with a Perinatologist and Midwifery team demonstrating an improved “transfer” process and maternal-infant safety
Objective 2: Participants will be able to define the details of the Hospital, CPM-CNM support system with the Perinatologist/Midwifery team
/br Ojective 3: Participants will be able to identify areas of collaboration that increases maternal satisfaction, Provider comfort and hosital comfort, satisfaction and safety when caring for “Home Birth” mothers/patients
