Abstract:

The nervous system provides crucial data for the neonatal provider regarding physiologic function and developmental milestones. Alterations in the neonatal neurological exam can be a result of genetic, environmental, and maternal factors. In this module we explain neurological development & physiology, describe the process of a neonatal neurologic exam, and list common neonatal neurologic conditions.
