Abstract:

A NARM Registered Preceptor is a credentialed, experienced midwife who agrees to train apprentice midwives intending to apply for the Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential and has current, approved registration through NARM. When entering into a preceptor/student partnership, each party is expected to act in a professional, responsible, and respectful manner towards the other. This webinar provides guidance on how to become a Registered NARM Preceptor, an overview of student and preceptor responsibilities, a review of the NARM Application process and documentation of clinical skills, and an exploration of the ethical considerations for the preceptor/student relationship.
