GOLD Lactation is proud to invite speakers from industry specific associations, foundations, charities, NGO's, and businesses to give short presentations about what they are doing in the field of lactation health care. These presentations are designed to inform you about the benefits of these organizations and what they can do for you, or how you can get involved in their work. We hope that you enjoy these presentations and find that your role as a perinatal health care provider is enhanced by the organizations included here.
GOLD Lactation is always striving to bring you the latest in research, clinical practice, and industry discussion. Sometimes, a particular research study or discussion is better ‘learned’ when a Delegate can take the time to read through the information at their own pace, going back to re-read or review slides, handouts, and references in a way that helps them learn best.
With that in mind, GOLD Lactation brings you our first ever series of Poster Presentations! Like at a face-to-face conference, in which you can enter the poster hall in your own time and read through the presentations at your own pace, GOLD Lactation’s Poster series are on topics of current research, discussion and case studies; they are not narrated and there is no audio. Just open one up and read through it at your own pace! If you have any questions or comments for the presenter, head straight to the forums and post them there. Our Poster Presenters will be checking their forum once per week to answer your questions!
IBCLC CERPs Available. Poster Presentations have been approved for 0.5 CERPs or .5 Lactation Education Hours.
Discovering how breastfeeding is experienced and how lactation health care is provided in other countries and cultures around the world can have a positive impact on our own professional practice. Every year, GOLD Lactation is proud to offer a collection of short talks detailing breastfeeding traditions and practices from a wide variety of different cultures. Our cultural speakers are breastfeeding specialists in their country and come from peer-to-peer, non-profit, health care, and medical backgrounds.
As culture is defined by much more than political borders, GOLD Lactation has invited speakers to share their knowledge and expertise about breastfeeding in geographically-based centres and in terms of people groups within a particular culture.
