Gail Tully, is the Spinning Babies Lady and expert in Fetal Positioning. Since 2001, Spinning Babies has been introducing a new paradigm in labor progress through workshops, website, and world speaking engagements. She was a Founding Mother of The Childbirth Collective, and the first coordinator of the Hennepin County Medical Center’s Doula Project and  trainer for FUMC’s Somali Doula Program and The Turtle Women of St. Paul’s American Indian Family Center. Gail had her first child with HCMC’s CNM program that was one year old at the time. Gail is the author of Belly Mapping Workbook; How kicks and wiggles reveal your baby’s position.

A sacred model of birth – reality or fantasy?

Gauri Lowe is a medical doctor (University of Cape Town, South Africa) and spent several years after that working in rotations and then focusing in obstetric and gynaecology wards in government hospitals around Western Cape. Then she worked with a homebirth midwife in Cape Town and has been doing homebirths while in India too.  Since the homebirth of her son during medical school her focus has become practicing and teaching a Sacred model of birth.She was a co-founder of the Complementary Medical Association at medical school; co-founder and speaker at the Midwifery and Birth Conference in Cape Town, South Africa and written articles for Midwifery Today as well as having an active blog page dedicated to spreading a Sacred model of birth. She is also studying botanical medicine for women’s health with Aviva Romm. Presently she does online holistic women's health and pregnancy consultations and is developing workshops to teach a Sacred Model of Birth to birth practitioners.

Breastfeeding - what we need to know as Birth Workers

Geraldine Cahill has been a passionate breastfeeding advocate since 1993 when she qualified as a Cuidiú Breastfeeding Counsellor. She went on to become an antenatal teacher in 1998 and became passionate about interactive adult education as a way of empowering parents to gain knowledge about birth and breastfeeding. Geraldine then gained her IBCLC credential and Degrees in Community Development and Adult Education and a Dip. in Training for Trainers. Geraldine now integrates teaching with her lactation consultancy practice. She works with a team of tutors for a parent to parent support oganisation in Ireland. She speaks at breastfeeding and birth events locally on a regular basis and has also spoken at a number of online conferences and at International conferences and workshops. Geraldine also sits on the Board of Directors of ILCA, was awarded the ILCA/WABA fellowship in 2014 and sits on various Irish Breastfeeding committees.

Capturing Love with Remembrance Portraiture

Gina has been the CEO at NILMDTS since October 2011. Gina has extensive expertise in nonprofits and has personally been touched by the services of NILMDTS. In 2007, Gina and her husband lost their first son David du to Potter’s Syndrome. Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep captured images of David. Not even a year later, the Harris’ lost their second son, Ethan from another condition called hydrops and cystic hygromas. Because his condition was so severe and the shock they were in, the couple did not get pictures of him. Gina understands from firsthand experience the significance NILMDTS images have on the healing process. Gina spent 12 years at a national youth-serving nonprofit and was the executive director for five of those years. Gina is a sought after national speaker and is a published author. She has been featured in major media including CNN, The LA Times, The Washington Post, Extra, NBC, People Magazine, and dozens of local newspapers and radio shows. Gina has a Master’s of Science in Nonprofit Management and a bachelor of arts in television news and video communications. Cheryl Haggard is the founding parent of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. She is a stay at home wife to Michael and the mother of Chase, Anna, Natalie and baby Maddux. NILMDTS was formed after the birth of her fourth child Maddux Achilles Haggard, who was born with the rare condition called Myotubular Myopathy. Cheryl is extremely active in all her children’s activities. She enjoys the thrill of life, and has participated in events such as skydiving. She also knows the value of life and donated a kidney to a friend in 2007. Cheryl enjoys photography, hiking, boating, sunny days, thunderstorms, Texas hold ‘em poker, Colorado microbreweries, her two dogs and three cats, as well as everything about Tim Tebow. She and her family currently reside in the foothills of Denver, Colorado. Cheryl believes that the pain of losing a child never gets easier, and that you just become a stronger person to carry that pain throughout your life.
