Rooted and Resilient: Cultivating Professional Well-Being and Sustainable Care in Lactation
In a field centered around nurturing others, creating sustainable breastfeeding support systems means ensuring that the professionals providing the care are supported to nurture themselves as well. If care providers burn out then support systems crumble. This year for World Breastfeeding Week 2025, GOLD is excited to embrace the theme of "Prioritise Breastfeeding, Create sustainable Support Systems" by bringing you a brand new presentation from Tamentanefer Camara MS-HCA, IBCLC, CBE, titled "Rooted and Resilient: Cultivating Professional Well-Being and Sustainable Care in Lactation". Join our expert speaker during this thought provoking and inspiring presentation to explore the vital connection between personal sustainability, professional longevity, and environmental responsibility. This session invites lactation professionals to examine the roots of their practice - values, boundaries, and support systems - and how these can grow into resilient careers that thrive without burnout and sustain a healthy system of support for breastfeeding families.
